Interim Superintendent Announces Resignation

Dr. Laura Norbut, who was originally hired as Stafford Public Schools' Chief Academic Officer, announced on June 5, 2025, that her last day would be June 30. She stepped in as Interim Superintendent this year and will now move on to a new job as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum in Suffield Public Schools.
Dr. Norbut sent a message to the school community on Wednesday. "I have witnessed firsthand the incredible resilience and dedication that define this district," she wrote, pledging to spend the following weeks ensuring a smooth transition.
Dr. Norbut's resignation comes shortly after the current CFO for the schools, Vicky DeSantis, resigned. Her last day is today.
