Over 40 years ago I along with hundred of parent volunteered in the organization, Little League, I spent countless days in the food booth along with hundreds of others. At one point I was common deared to act as a empire. I was not the only one. I was one of two People in our town to start the Stafford Girls Softball. We started with nothing. Went to the businesses in town and got the startup funds for the newly organization. If it was not for the towns businesses, the Stafford Boys Club, the Town Recreational Commission and our volunteers we would not have been part of the Stafford Little League. So yes I understand what it takes to start and keep organization like the Stafford Little going. We all saw our children grow to be better children, learned team work and above all respect for one another.
I was very disturbed to learn that checks were written by a member of the board. This should not have happened. No one should ever have access to an organization money for personal use.
I am appauld that this board seems to white wash this issue. It can not be swooped under the rug.
Remember that the eyes of our town, our children, and the future are watching. The best way of handling this issue and it is an issue, is for Mr. Martorelli to resign.
If not the board and the towns people must remove him.
I am also concerned about another organization that Mr Martorelli is in charge of the Stafford Bulldog Football organization.
I truly believe that this board will do the right thing. In closing I believe financial audits must be done for Little League and Stafford Bulldogs books by an independent group of people.
I am really proud that David Galloto did the right thing.
