Happy Holidays!
We were so excited to see so many of you at the Volunteer Fair at the Stafford Public Library in November. Visitors to the fair had the opportunity to meet with local agencies and learn more about their work to improve and support the Stafford community. Thank you to all of the agencies that took the time out of their busy schedules to come and to all who attended!
Looking forward, we can’t wait for Stafford Winterfest on Saturday, December 9, 2023. The Rotary Club will take part in the parade with a very special themed float – you’ll know who our special guest is the minute you see him! (Hint: it’s not Santa, but he knows him!) Our members love seeing the amazing residents of Stafford come out for this great event, and we are especially excited to shower the kids with candy! While at Winterfest, please consider bringing some pajamas of any size to donate for our Pajama Drive to benefit Stafford Social Services’ Holiday Gift Program. Donations can be dropped downtown at the Rotary table in Haymarket Square. We are also accepting donations of pajamas through December 10, 2023, in the Rotary collection bins at the Stafford Community Center and Town Hall.
How can you get involved with Rotary and our Stafford community? The club welcomes participation at any level. Members’ time and talents are needed, whether it’s an hour or 10 hours a month. Meetings are held at the West Stafford Fire Department on Route 190 in Stafford, Connecticut, every first and third Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. and all are welcome to attend. Questions? Email the club at staffordrotaryct@gmail.com, visit their website at https://staffordctrotary.org/, or check out the Rotary Club of Stafford Facebook page for more information.
