Hikes Through History

2026 represents the 250th birthday of the United States, and many Stafford organizations are finding creative ways to celebrate. For instance, the Stafford Conservation Commission is collaborating with the Stafford Historical Society to celebrate America's 250th anniversary with a "Hikes Through History" series. The series will kick off with a presentation by Connecticut State Archaeologist, Dr. Sarah P. Sportman on May 14 at 6:00 p.m. at the Stafford Library.

The rest of the series will stretch out across spring, summer and fall with three guided hikes. If there's enough interest in the series they may hold even more.
