The Stafford Democratic Town Committee would like to share some thoughts from Anthony Armelin, Board of Selectmen candidate, and Dave Walsh, long-time community member, regarding the 2025 Municipal Election.
A message to the Town of Stafford, from Anthony Armelin, Board of Selectmen candidate:

I want to take a moment to express a sincere thank you to everyone who has supported me in my candidacy for Board of Selectmen. As a fifth-generation resident of Stafford, I never dreamed of being endorsed as a candidate for selectman.
The support from my friends, family, and my wife, Terry, has meant the world to me. I’ve genuinely enjoyed getting out there, reconnecting with old friends, and meeting new ones.
One thing I’ve learned is that we all share common ground—we love this town and want the best for our future. I hope our children and grandchildren will be proud of the legacy we’ve built and the strong foundations we’re establishing for them.
As an entrepreneur in finish carpentry, I recognize the importance of hard work, fiscal responsibility, and supporting local businesses. In my role on Stafford’s Board of Finance, I strive to provide steady and experienced oversight to protect the town’s financial future.
My commitment to community service extends beyond public office; I’ve been actively involved with the Stafford Garden Club, The Lions Club, and have served on various town committees. I’ve always aimed to give back to help Stafford thrive, and I’m excited to continue promoting the town’s growth, stability, and well-being.
Regardless of the election's outcome, I take immense pride in being a Stafford resident and will continue to give back to the town and the people I cherish. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this incredible opportunity.
Tony Armelin

A message to the Town of Stafford from Dave Walsh
Every fall we are reminded that Stafford is an attractive rural community and a good place to live. As a small town, Stafford invites friendly community relationships, not division and hostility based on national political behavior. Cooperation, respect for others, and positive public service should be promoted by all. Each of us has a choice -- help build our community or partake in tearing it down.
The democratic candidates for selectmen, Bill Morrison and Anthony Armelin, have run exactly the type of campaign that Stafford needs now- one that unities the town. Their campaign has been 100% positive, with honest messaging and respect for their opponents.
As an incumbent, Bill Morrison has based his appeal for votes on his personal record and his actions as a town leader. Morrison has been a public volunteer servant since he was seventeen years old and remains active as a town firefighter and emergency service worker. Bill’s message to voters is clear: he is and he will continue to be a hard-working problem solver who understands the need for transparency and respects all.
Anthony Armelin is well-suited to be Bill’s running mate. He is a Stafford businessperson with experience on the Board of Finance and a volunteer with the Lion’s Club and Garden Club.
Let us end “the blame game” and ugly internet posts. We can build a better future by electing Bill Morrison, Anthony Armelin, and the entire Democratic "Team Stafford”.
